The Law sets the legal, economic, organizational and environmental foundations of relations and activity related to the use of mineral resources for extraction of raw amber, as well as sale, storage, transportation and processing of raw amber in the territory of Ukraine. The Law prevents unauthorized extraction of raw amber; guarantees environmental protection, development of raw amber processing branch and employment growth.
The Law is applicable to the use of mineral resources for geological study of succiniferous resources and extraction of raw amber in the non-industrial fields and developments, sale, storage, transportation and processing of raw amber in the territory of Ukraine regardless of the form of ownership of the economic entities.
